Description

I'm convinced Joe has a ghost writer-and having God whispering into your ear while sitting in front of the keyboard isn't a bad thing. Joe puts into words what many of us wish we could see or feel in the first place.-Leonard Woolsey, Galveston County Daily News

You will value this book. Joe will bring laughter to your day, a tear to your eye, and wisdom to your soul.-Ronald J. Greer, Peachtree Road United Methodist Church

Joe Garrett covers topics both whimsical and serious in his series of essays on home, heart, and family in southern life.

Garrett engages readers with his wistful stories about coming of age in rural Georgia. His adventures harken back to a simpler time. In addition to humorous slice-of-life moments and a vibrant glimpse into local history, Garrett also writes about more difficult topics. He opens up about heartbreaking experiences in his own family and how to move through the grieving process.

Garrett categorizes his work into four separate sections centered around the four seasons. As readers move through summer, fall, winter, and on to spring, Garrett reminds them of the change every day brings and the cycle of our lives.
