Hugh was a reporter for 30 years, nearly 20 of them with The Daily Press (Newport News, Va.)
and The Virginian-Pilot (Norfolk, Va.). He currently works at Newport News Shipbuilding in
communications. His interest in storytelling is longstanding and he is excited to see his first
novel out in the world.
His debut is “Fadeaway Joe,” a crime novel that features locations on the Virginia Peninsula,
including Fort Monroe and Phoebus. It follows the tale of a former Hampton Roads bouncer who
is out on a path of revenge.
Perfect for fans of S. A. Cosby and Allen Eskens, Joe Pendergast must go all in one last time as he grapples with the ghosts of his past–and present–in this gritty, high-stakes thriller.
