In the rolling fields of rural Minnesota lies a sanctuary where unwanted foxes find refuge. Founded in 2017 by fox expert Mikayla Raines, Save a Fox is the largest fox rescue in the U.S., specializing in giving fur farm foxes and pet surrenders a second chance. The animals at the rescue balance on the border between wild and domesticated--they cannot survive in the wild, yet they are not as tame as pets, creating unique challenges for their species and their caregivers.
